Biographical Information

A native Texan born in Terrell, Texas.  Raised in Sulphur Springs, Texas, a small town in East Texas. 

Graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology / Math with emphasis in Computer Science from East Texas State University. 

Worked in various computer related areas for:  Texas Instruments, General Computer Systems, E-Systems, Texas Power & Light Company, and TXU. 

Retired from TXU in 2001 and now live in Allen, Texas.

Father worked for Texas Power & Light Company as a Chief Clerk while we lived in Sulphur Springs. 

He was always very active in community programs such as the chamber of commerce and the Boy Scouts. 

He was Scout Master of Boy Scout Troup 67 in Sulphur Springs

He retired from Texas Power & Light Company as District Manager of the Terrell District

My father always kept me interested in technical things when I was younger and my grandfather got me interested in wood working. 

I guess all that must have stuck with me.

My mother still  lives in Terrell, Texas. 

I have one sister 

I am married with two daughters.   

I got my Novice Ham Radio license in 1962 along with a couple of my friends

Two old time Radio Operators (Elmers) who helped me and my friends out back in the beginning were Bill Sarten (K5WUE) and Bill Milam

Personal Interests

v      Enjoy building PCs and working on computer networks

v      Enjoy all kinds of electronics including Ham Radio

Ø       Operate 160 – 10 meters HF both fixed station as well as mobile

§         Also operate 2 meters  & 440Mhz

v      Enjoy all sorts of woodworking

v      Have some old American Flyer Model Electric Trains
